Annual Report

June 2003

The Photo Directory was the focus of our activity this spring. To date, the photos have been taken by Olin Mills and the layout is in being done. There is still time for those who were not able to go to a sitting to submit their own photo. We expect to have the directory next fall with a cover featuring a quilt of church scenes made by Tina Cleveland.

Other events we sponsored were receptions of the UU 101 class in November and March. In this session they were introduced to how the church functions and to the committee chairpersons who help make it happen. A breakfast was given in May for the new members to get to know us and each other in an informal setting. Our last event is the Ladies Luncheon in June which gives the former Women’s Fellowship and other retired women a chance to get together and celebrate all they have given to this church.

Meeting and welcoming interested people and potential new members is not only our mission but one of the perks of this committee. To this end, we greeted people and answered questions every Sunday at the Newcomer’s Corner. Goals for next year include recruiting more members to the committee, developing job descriptions for our committee and examining ways to be more effective in integrating new church members.
