Annual report for church year ending June 12, 2003

The fundraising committee planned and managed several fundraising activities throughout the church year.

Annual Pledge Drive - $ 135,000

Kick off service March 9, 2003 – UUest Side Story

Two Reminder mailings: Early April, early May

One request for increase in giving EB letter - $ 50,000 short, HELP!

Direct calling program started late May

Auction - $ 12,000

New record nearly double previous year: $ 12,000.00

Split $4500 to the general fund and the rest to the piano fund; EB approved

Piano Fund - $ 9,700

Choir donations Sandra Christmas Gift: $ 2200

Service Auction: $7500

Fall fundraiser needed to drive program forward

Sell Victoria styled piano: proceeds to go to new piano fund.

Recommendations for Next Year

• Determine specific pledge drive goals in January
• Communicate goals and pledge drive process to congregation
• Solicit funding ideas from the members – brief survey?
• Share previous year’s pledge statistics with congregation
• Add financial health information to newsletter each month
• Establish a pre-committed list of callers at pledge kick off service
• Begin calling immediately after pledge drive kick off
• Consider passing the plate on Sunday
• Free admission to Auction with Pledge Form
